hey people.

On what was it? Tuesday I think. All the chosen sec 1s in SJI participated in the annual Inter-Class Soccer/Rugby Tournament. I was one of the chosen one to participate in the soccer tournament. Together with 11 of my classmates, I made my way to the Bukit Timah Field after school to compete with the other classes. When we heard that our first match was with class 102, we thought that we would lose as they were known to be the best. Surprisingly, we drew with a 0 - 0 score.
After a number of matches, we emerged 3rd of the whole level.
Sadly enough, the rugby team did not do as well and came out last.
Well, all that matters is to have fun really.
But congrats to all of my teamates and the rugby team.

Hello Readers.
Yesterday I participate in the school's 5th annual Sports Fiesta. I had the opportunity to play tennis. There was also other events such as touch rugby -sissy rugby more like it- and soccer. The event started at around 8 am in SJI. Together with the other secondary 1 school players and some old boys, we had a tennis tournament. It was very pleasant but some took it seriously although it was really just for fun. Surprisingly, my partner and I came out second and were cup winners! Sadly, I had to leave before the prize presentation but will collect my medal from Mr. Nathan on monday. Strangely, they call the prizes official names such as cups and plates but they are really just medals.

To all those that did not make it to the Sports Fiesta, there's always next year. Hopefully you will be able to make it then.

Hey Guys.

Did you all know, I participated in the Inter-House Dragonboat Race. It was held at Kallang River after school. Together with 11 other classmates, I made my way to the river. We had to walk on some very narrow path, which if you fall you land in the sea, then take a long stroll along the river to the arranged meeting place. After a breif safety talk, the races started. The first was the upper secondary 12-boat race, followed by the lower secondary 12-boat race, then the upper secondary 24-boat race and finally the lower secondary 24-boat race. I participated in both of the lower secondary races. Actually, dragonboating is not that hard. The only part you have to take note of is the co-ordination of the team. If the whole team paddles at their own pace, the whole boat would be moving at a caterpillar's pace. But if the team is syncronised well, you will speed throught the water. And that was the problem with the last race. Nobody was paddling at the same pace. Paddles were clashing throughout the race, causing the whole downfall of the boat. Ironically, these were the results of our house for all the races: 1st race = 1st, 2nd race = 2nd, 3rd race = 3rd and 4th race = 4th.
Overall, the whole event was very enjoyable and i hope to be able to participate in more of these school events.

Hey People.

Hope you are doing well. Just a few days ago, i participated in the school's annual Enrichment Day. We started off by building a PET Rocket. It actually is just built out of a bulletproof cone, some plastic bottle and a few plastic fins. When we were told that this would be able to be blasted off into the air using just water and compressed air, I was shocked. Soon after building the rocket, we went to the launching platform, which was actually just the rugby pitch. There, we filled our rockets with some tap water, placed our rockets on these three-legged launchers, filled them with compressed air and launched them sky high. It was amazing to see all of the rockets being launched. Even though a few were launched at strange angles, it was an overall success.

That's all for now.
